Dwingelderveld

Visitor center Dwingelderveld in Ruinen (Drenthe) is one of the most important public attractions in the north. The exhibition, photo walls and other interior elements underwent a metamorphosis, with the aim: a place where visitors to Dwingelderveld National Park feel at home.

The visitor center is owned by Natuurmonumenten and is the ideal starting point for a day out in the National Park Dwingelderveld. A special model with a floor image underneath gives a realistic picture of what can be experienced in the center and the surrounding nature area.

The thematic furniture – representing objects from nature – contributes to this experience. Pronk made the design for the new center with matching interior.

Heijmerink Wagemakers had a sharp ear for the wishes and expectations of both Natuurmonumenten and the designers. The engineering and construction went in close cooperation with them and the result may be there. The opening was celebrated on 11 March 2016.
