Brede Vaerk is an extensive industrial area near Copenhagen. In the past the area accommodated a weaving mill and a paint factory and also accommodated the many labourers. The factory which closed its doors in the early fifties is now host to a permanent exhibition showing the industrial development of Denmark. The exhibition contains more than 1500 objects varying from machine parts to address books of the labourers.
The story of the industrial development is told by using audio tapes, audiovisuals, machines in operation, interactive games and educational descriptions of the past, present time and future of the industry. The exhibition was opened by Queen Margrethe of Denmark.
