Utrecht University Museum (Shiver in the Bleulandkabinet)

Professor Jan Bleuland (1756-1838) compiled a fascinating nineteenth-century anatomical collection. The collection consists of a part anatomy, a part of the disease and a part of the anatomy between humans and animals.

Bleuland had special cupboards for carpentry, which are now – with the contents – in the museum.

The extensive collection of skeletons, fetuses on strong water and washing preparations of body parts is is unique and special.

The Utrecht University Museum has set up a Youth Lab to enable young visitors to become acquainted with various aspects of medical science in an accessible manner.
