Project Description

City Museum Lier

The city of Lier – Province of Antwerp – is a totally transformed museum richer.
‘Stedelijk Museum Wuyts-Van Campen and Baron Caroly’ was until recently a traditional art museum. This year it made the transition to a city museum with the core task of connecting people. An accessible museum, involved and aware of its social role.
The new City Museum Lier communicates a balanced mix of the existing collection and events of the past with contemporary art, stories and experiences of today.

In order not only to appeal to a larger target group, but also to present as complete a picture as possible of the city of Lier, its inhabitants and its social networks.
Together with Pronk and the museum, we translated the storyline and content into a definitive design in the fall of 2017. This year we have technically developed, produced and realized the design. The results are impressive! The last weekend of September was filled with a festive opening program.
