Project Description

FotoMuseum Antwerpen (Arriving at the entrance)

The entrance area of the Photo Museum has been renovated. The challenge for the designer Pronk consisted of coming up with a novel idea for the existing area and to bring it in line with the recently designed museum shop. In cooperation between Pronk, Heijmerink Wagemakers and the Photo Museum new furniture was designed giving the visitor the opportunity to be seated in different positions as well as obtaining information about current exhibitions.

This results in a perfect start for a visit. There is a multifunctional cloakroom for visitors and school groups. There are also specially designed graphics being shown over the furniture as well as the floors. The graphics change when the visitor approaches or retreats from the graphics. A true welcome.
